On August 24, Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 will officially start production. The filmmakers shared the good news by releasing a brand-new poster with Kamal Haasan reprising his role as Senapathy. The phrase “He is Back” is written on the image. The drama’s most recent schedule will reportedly take place on a huge set built close to Parrys Corner in Chennai, according to the most recent rumors surrounding the project. It appears that Kamal Haasan will begin shooting in September of this year.
Bobby Simha, Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, and the main character will all join the filming in September. The key cast of the movie also includes Samuthirakani, Guru Somasundaram, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Rakul Preet Singh. Indian 2 is being produced under the supervision of S Shankar, and it is being funded by Red Giant Movies’ Udayanidhi Stalin in collaboration with Lyca Productions. The project has Anirudh Ravichander on board as the music director.

After the accident on the sets in February 2020, which even resulted in the deaths of a few crew members, filming for the movie was put on hold. In an interview with a news channel, Kamal Haasan discussed the postponement of Indian 2. “We had so many things coming in between, apart from the fact that it’s a very big film. We had COVID, we had an accident on the set where people died. It’s so unnerving but we continued.” He added, “I run a white elephant called Raaj Kamal Films and Mr. Shankar runs a company called S Productions. These are the white elephants that we need to feed, so we go out and work. We can’t get stuck on one film. The days of Mughal-Ae-Azam cannot be repeated. We can’t sit with one film for a decade.”
