AFCAT 02/2024 Notification 2024: Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the notification for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 02/2024. Online applications have been invited for 304 vacancies in Flying Branch and Ground Duty Branch. For which the application process will start from 30th May and the last date for the form has been fixed as 28th June. This recruitment exam includes both technical and non-technical roles. Interested and eligible candidates can apply at afcat.cdac.in. Before starting the application process, it is advisable to read the complete information related to the recruitment examination and only then start filling the form.
education qualification
Flying Branch – Candidates who have passed class 12th with 50% marks from any recognized institute and have Maths and Physics as subjects in class 12th. Along with this, they have taken BE/BTech and Technology degree with at least 60% marks. They are eligible to apply.
Ground Duty (Technical) Branch
Must have passed class 12th examination with Physics and Mathematics subjects with at least 50 percent marks. Graduation degree in Engineering or Technology with at least 60 percent marks.
How will the selection be done, know the exam pattern
The selection process includes a written examination, an Air Force Selection Force (AFSB) interview and a medical examination. AFCAT written exam is of 300 marks. A total of 100 questions are asked in the two-hour exam. In the exam, various subjects like General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test are asked. All questions will be objective type in English. Please note that there will be negative marking for wrong answers. In which one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates who are successful in AFCAT exam will be eligible for courses starting from July 2025. They will also be provided with Short Service Commission (SSC).
