PRSU Admission 2024: Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University has taken an important decision to improve the educational quality in the new session. This year the minimum qualification for professional courses has been increased by five percent. 50 percent marks have been made mandatory for General and OBC categories and 45 percent marks in graduation for SC-ST students. The state university has issued a notification in this regard. Application for admission to professional courses starts from May 3. Admission to professional courses in the campus and affiliated colleges will be through Joint Entrance Examination. The exam is proposed on July 10.

There will be admission against more than 11 thousand seats in 20 types of professional courses in 114 affiliated colleges of the state university and the board. There will be admission for 500 seats in 12 types of professional courses in the campus. The minimum qualifying marks for general and OBC candidates for admission to professional courses in the university’s academic session 2023-24 was fixed at 45 percent. Whereas for SC-ST there was a requirement of 40 percent marks. But this time it has been increased by five percent. It has been made mandatory for general and OBC candidates taking admission in professional courses at postgraduate level to have 50 per cent marks in graduation.

Similarly, a requirement of 45 percent has been fixed for SC-ST. At the same time, for admission to graduate level professional courses, it has been made mandatory for students to have 50 and 45 percent marks in Intermediate respectively. Vice Chancellor Prof. Akhilesh Kumar Singh said that to increase the educational quality in colleges and campuses, minimum qualification has been fixed in professional courses. Only those who get the prescribed marks will be able to apply for admission to professional courses.
