Good news for DU students, now they will get more stipend in internship

The honorarium of two internship schemes run by Delhi University for skill development and leadership development of students has been increased by five percent.DU Dean Students Welfare Prof.Pankaj Arora told that the proposal was passed by the Executive Council.Both the Part-Time Internship Scheme and Summer Internship Scheme run by the Dean Students Welfare Office will be provided with increased honorarium.Recently, 225 students have done internship in DU.

Only DU students can apply for the scheme.Now the selection process is going on from the applications received till October 4.Selected students will now get Rs 5,250 per month.Whereas, an honorarium of more than Rs 10,500 will be given in the summer internship program.

Prof.Pankaj Arora said that the internship program has yielded more positive results than expected.The level of efficiency has increased.In the department where the children went for internship, they did better and the concerned department also learned.DU said that any student can do part-time internship only once.Students will be required to devote 8-10 hours per week where their duties will be determined by the Dean of Students Welfare Department.

Committee formed on expulsion of students in Hindu College.
Many students protested on Tuesday over the expulsion of 15 students in Hindu College affiliated to Delhi University.He said that the attitude adopted by the Hindu College administration towards the students is intolerable.The students were protesting normally, but it was termed as indiscipline.After the protest that continued till late evening, the college administration has constituted a review committee.Hindu College has also issued a notice regarding this matter.It was written that after the memorandum of DU Students Union, the college has constituted a committee, which will look into the matter.This committee will also meet the students on November 1.Aparajita, Secretary of Delhi University Students Union, said that a meeting has been held with the Principal and the Disciplinary Committee.
