Dulquer Salmaan will be sharing screen space with Cocktail actress Diana Penty in their Mollywood cop show, Salute. While Dulquer plays the hero Aravind Karunakaran, Diana Penty will be seen as his adoration interest, Amritha. This will be Diana’s first Malayalam undertaking. She is very much excited about the release of the film.
The Parmanu star shared a short clip via online social media where both the leads are seen on a rich green area. They are playing peek-a-boo in a lavish fort. Her post included the caption, “Guess who’ll be springing into your lives today?! Aravind and Diya…aka @dqsalmaanand me”. Commenting on the update of his leading lady, Dulquer Slamaan commented, “Such cartoons !!!” It will be exciting to see these two collaborating.

The Salute producers decided on an OTT release after the film got postponed many times due to COVID-19. The venture is presently coming on 18 March. Dulquer will be seen playing a cop in his next, who is haunted by an old unsolved murder case. From the sneak look, the film looks action-packed and full of suspense. Manoj K Jayan, Lakshmi Gopalaswami, Saniya Iyappan, Binu Pappu, and Saikumar will also be an important part of the film.
The film is produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s home flag Wayfarer Films. It is directed by Rosshan Andrrew. The screenplay of the movie is written by essayist team Bobby and Sanjay. The music for the film has been composed by Jakes Bejoy and the cinematography is been done by Aslam K Purayil. Editing will be done by A Sreekar Prasad.
