There is good news for students who have scored 75 percent or more marks in B.Tech. They can take admission in PhD without doing M.Tech. There is an opportunity for this in Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology. Students who have passed B.Tech with 75 percent or more marks are eligible for M.Tech as well as PhD. You can apply for M.Tech till 30 June. A provision has been made in the National Education Policy-2020 that students who have scored 75 percent or more marks in a four-year undergraduate course will be able to take direct admission in PhD. In view of the provisions of NEP, UGC has made extensive changes regarding the research ordinance from the session 2024. In order to the guidelines of UGC, MMMUT had included it in its research ordinance. Now it is starting. The last date for application for admission in M.Tech is 30 June.

Now apply till 2nd July. Dean Prof. Rakesh Kumar said that the last date for application for admission in PhD was 28th June. On the demand of students, the university administration has extended it till 2nd July. Admission is to be taken on a total of 48 seats of PhD in MMMUT. There are many opportunities for fellowship in PhD.

MMMUT Vice Chancellor Prof. JP Saini said, ‘Students who score 75 percent or more marks in B.Tech can directly take admission in PhD. Such students are also eligible to apply for admission in PhD along with M.Tech. The provisions of NEP and the new guidelines of UGC are being implemented.’
