Abhirami is all praise for the Bollywood film ‘Badhaai Do’. The actress as of late watched the Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer ‘Badhaai Do’ and can’t quit gushing about it. The actress took to her Instagram handle to share her views on the film. The movie is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni. ‘Badhaai Do’ is a story of a couple in a lavender marriage.
Taking to her online media handle, Abhriami wrote, “#badhaaido just watched this lovely movie that talks about a topic that seldom gets spoken about. Beyond the main theme of the movie, it also touches upon so many stereotypes about the role of the husband and the wife in our society. Also, the fact that non-heterosexual couples cannot adopt or even have children through surrogacy (according to the recent law change) and beautifully woven in. One such movie may not change the fabric of our society, but it may help to normalize LGBTQ conversations. Go ahead and give it a watch. To all my #lgbtq friends, I promise to ALWAYS be your Ally. 🏳️🌈 #loveislove #adoption #surrogacy.”
