South star Karthi and Nagarjuna worked together in 2016 movie ‘Thozha’. The film was helmed by Vamshi Paidipally. While Karthi is waiting for the release of his forthcoming movie ‘Sardar’ directed by PS Mithran, the most recent update is that the Telugu rights of the film have been purchased by Akkineni Nagarjuna.
Karthi and Nagarjuna share a great bonding ever since they worked together in ‘Thozha’ and the two expressed their love for each other through their social networking pages. After it was declared that Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios will be releasing his impending film ‘Sardar’ in Andhra Pradesh and Telengana State, actor Karthi posted, “When i’m with @iamnagarjuna garu he has always made me feel good about myself😊. ‘Sardar’ highlighting Karthi is directed by PS Mithran and the film has Raashi Khanna, and, Rajisha Vijayan among others in its cast. Karthi will play a double part in the film. The cast also incorporates Munish Kant, Chunky Pandey, Prince, and Murli Sharma.
Thozha revolves around the characters played by Karthi, an irresponsible man who finds easy ways to make ends meet, and Nagarjuna, a millionaire suffering from a rare condition, which brings him to a wheelchair. Karthi is hired to take care of Nagarjuna.
