Suriya will shoot for Lokesh’s “Irumbu Kai Mayavi” before the Vikram sequel

Lokesh-Suriya

Suriya’s upcoming collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj is keenly anticipated by fans after the success of Kamal Haasan and Suriya’s cameo in the Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed movie “Vikram.” Fans would ideally like to see the “Vikram” sequel begin production soon, but actor Suriya is interested in the “Irumbu Kai Mayavi” project that he discussed with Lokesh Kanagaraj in the past.

It is believed that the director Lokesh Kanagaraj has previously discussed a story with Suriya for the five-year-old film “Irumbu Kai Maayavi.” The young filmmaker, who will likely work with Vijay on “Thalapathy 67,” has recently claimed that Suriya has indicated an interest in restarting “Irumbu Kai Maayavi” and has frequently inquired about the movie.

It is claimed that “Irumbu Kaai Maayavi” was influenced by “The Steel Claw,” a comic book. The protagonist of the super-hero movie loses one of his hands in an accident and uses a metal hand to battle criminals. The pre-production work had been ongoing for eight months, according to a previous statement by the director. Suriya is currently so excited about the project that the fans can anticipate the movie’s release at any time.

Recently Suriya’s film Soorarai Pottru won five awards at the 68th National Awards. Best Actor (Suriya), Best Actress (Aparna Balamurali), Best Feature Film (Sudha Kongara), Best Screenplay (Sudha Kongara and Shalini Usha Nair) and Best Background Score (GV Prakash Kumar).

On the work front, Suriya has several projects, including Vaadivaasal, Vanangaan, and an untitled movie with director Siva. He is also likely to sign a new project with Sudha Kongara.
