Samantha and Dev Mohan’s Shaakuntalam will release on this date

After piquing fans’ interest with hints about an exciting announcement related to the much-anticipated films of 2023 – Shaakuntalam – the makers have finally released an intriguing poster of the film starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan. Gunaa Teamworks shared the poster on their official Instagram account, along with the film’s release date of February 17.

As she poses for the romantic poster, her hair is adorned with flowers. Dev Mohan, on the other hand, is seen wearing an orange traditional top with traditional accessories. The romantic poster is sure to pique fans’ interest in the film’s release.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s mythological film Shaakuntalam is one of Tollywood’s most awaited movies. The film’s first look posters were released last year, along with the film’s release date of November 4th. However, with the announcement of the film’s new theatrical release date was delayed. Shaakuntalam will be Samantha’s first theatrical release after the announcement of her Myositis diagnosis.

The film is produced by Neelima Guna and directed by Gunasekhar, and is presented by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations in collaboration with Gunaa Teamworks. The film is directed by Gunasekhar, and it is a whimsical love story set in Kashyapa Kanumalu (Kashmir), with the grandeur and splendour of Dushyant’s Puru Dynasty making the film extremely exceptional.

Along with an enticing storyline, the film features a talented cast that includes Sachin Khedekar Kabir Bedi, Dr. M.Mohan Babu Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, and Jisshu Sengupta in key roles. Another addition to the star cast is icon star Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha, who plays Prince Bharata. Shaakuntalam’s filming was completed in August 2021. Shakuntalam, a famous story by Kalidasa, will be the inspiration for the drama.
