Rishab Shetty’s Kantara completed 100 days

Kantara-100-days

Kantara by Hombale Films is one of the biggest films of 2022, and its legacy will be remembered for years to come. It’s been 100 days since Kantara was launched in Hindi, and the way its plot has captivated audiences across languages is astounding.

Hombale Films took to social media to express how happy they are that Kantara (Hindi) has completed 100 days. They wrote, “We are ecstatic to share that #Kantara in Hindi, depicting the traditional folklore, has completed 100 days. We express our deep gratitude to the audience for their unwavering support.”

Kantara was released in Kannada and Hindi on September 30th and October 14th, respectively. Rishab Shetty wrote and directed the film. The film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda under the banner of Hombale Films and stars Rishab Shetty, Sapthami Gowda, and Kishore Kumar G in major parts.

Following the huge success of Kantara, Rishab Shetty is hard at work on the sequel. It will, however, be a prequel rather than a sequel. Hombale Films founder Vijay Kirgandur provided an update, stating that the actor-director has already begun work on Kantara 2. During an interview, Vijay said, “He (Shetty) plans to start shooting in June, as a portion of the shoot requires the rainy season, and our intention is to give the film a pan-India release in April or May next year.”

The Rishab Shetty-directed film has been nominated for an Oscar, making it the second South Indian film to do so this year, following RRR, the blockbuster period drama directed by SS Rajamouli.
