The examination for the Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) for which the Railway Recruitment Board has invited applications in February 2019 will be held from December 28 to the last week of March 2021. Selection for graduate posts including Station Master and Goods Guard is through NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) examination.The examination is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB).Information about the examination center and date will be published ten days before the examination.
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced that the first phase of computer based examination for NTPC, Group D, Ministerial and Isolated categories will be held in June-September 2019. But it was announced in September this year that it had been postponed.
The RRB had announced in October that the exams for the ministerial and isolated categories would be held from December 15 to 23. The Railways had earlier said that the first phase of the examination would be held in September-October 2019 when applications were invited for more than one lakh vacancies in Group D posts.But no date has been announced for the Group D selection.
The RRB NTPC, which had invited applications for more than 35,000 vacancies in various departments, had closed its registration in March. More than 1.27 crore job seekers have applied for NTPC posts. About 1.15 crore people have applied for Group D posts.
