The current stage of Telugu filmmaker Puri Jagannadh’s career is not good. His most recent film, Liger, starring Vijay Deverakonda and much promoted as the next great thing, shockingly underperformed at the box office and earned poor reviews.

Many critics believed that Puri Jagannadh, who was formerly well-known for his quality films, had lost his touch and that Liger’s direction was poor. Additionally, his upcoming film Jana Gana Mana with Vijay Deverakonda was canceled due to Liger’s poor performance.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) also questioned Puri Jagannadh and Liger producer, Charmee Kaur, over Liger’s finances. It was claimed that several politicians had holdings in the financing of the film. A fresh report about the filmmaker is making the rounds, despite the fact that he is now struggling with a number of problems.

Puri Jagannadh is working on a movie starring Salman Khan if sources are to be believed. Unverified rumors claim that Salman has heard a script by Puri Jagannadh and has even shown interest in the project. There isn’t a formal confirmation of this, though.

Ever since Salman Khan starred in the Prabhu Deva-directed Wanted, a remake of Puri Jagannadh’s Pokiri with Mahesh Babu, there have been talks about Puri Jagannadh and Salman working together. It is interesting that despite the fact that Puri Jagannadh has not yet directed Salman, the two had already worked together on a project as actors. In Chiranjeevi’s Godfather, which also featured Salman Khan in a lengthy cameo, Puri Jagannadh played the part of a journalist named Govardhan.
