Puneeth Rajkumar’s life story chapter will be added to school books

It has been over a year since Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar died, and his fans are still coming to terms with his death. He has left a massive legacy, and his final documentary, Gandhada Gudi, was released last month. Given the late actor’s widespread popularity and legacy, it has long been a fan demand that Puneeth Rajkumar’s life is documented in the form of a textbook taught in school.

Bangalore University has finally decided to listen to fan clubs’ and student organizations’ pleas. The university has announced that a chapter on Puneeth Rajkumar will be added to its curriculum in the near future.

The textbooks will include a section from Dr. Sharanu Hullur’s recently published biography of Puneeth Rajkumar. According to Dr. Ramalingappa T. Begur, member coordinator of the Bangalore University Kannada Board of Studies, a passage from Neene Rajakumara will be included in the third semester Kannada language syllabus for BCom.

According to him, the process began about four to five months ago, and all necessary approvals have been obtained. This is currently only included in the BCom syllabus, and the university has not considered adding it to other courses.

Ashwini, Puneeth’s wife Puneeth Rajkumar recently published the fourth edition of his book Neene Rajakumara. This book also broke the record for the year’s best-selling biography in Kannada. It was consistently on the top list in many bookstores and online stores.

Puneeth complained of uneasiness to his wife Ashwini on 29 October 2021. He died on his way to the hospital at the age of 46. The reason for his death was announced as heart attack.
