Puneeth Rajkumar’s wife Ashwini revised the ticket price of Gandhada Gudi

Puneeth Rajkumar’s last movie is Gandhada Gudi. The late actor’s wife Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar announced in a statement that there will be a temporary price cut on movie tickets in Karnataka. She continued by saying that Puneeth wished for more kids to watch Gandhada Gudi.

Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, the late Puneeth Rajkumar’s wife, announced on Twitter on Sunday that all showings of her late husband’s final movie, Gandhada Gudi, will have discounted tickets from Monday through Thursday throughout Karnataka. The goal of the action is to encourage more kids to see the movie. Fans applauded the decision, calling it a tremendous initiative to carry on Puneeth’s legacy.

Ashwini posted a statement on Twitter on Sunday. Puneeth wanted more kids to see Gandhada Gudi, so after talking to the movie’s distributors, exhibitors, and production team, the ticket costs were lowered to make that possible. The statement also noted that from Monday through Thursday, single-screen movie tickets in Karnataka cost Rs. 56, while multiplex tickets cost Rs. 112.

The movie, which was directed by Amoghavarsha JS, is a documentary about Karnataka’s wildlife. Puneeth and the director travel the length and breadth of the state in the movie to explore its rich biodiversity. In the final week of October, the movie was released, and many seemed to like it. On the day of the release, of the first show, some fans were seen crying in videos and photos posted to social media.

Puneeth passed away at the age of 46 from a heart arrest in October 2021. On the occasion of the 67th Kannada Rajyotsava last week, Puneeth received posthumously the highest civilian honor bestowed by the state of Karnataka, the Karnataka Ratna (the state formation day). Along with Karnataka Prominent Minister Basavaraj Bommai, actors Jr. NTR and Rajinikanth presided over the ceremony as chief guests.
