Director Shaji Kailas says that the character of Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan is purely fictional. Jose Kuruvinakkunnel, a native of Pala, had come out against the film. Kuruvachan had said that the film would not be released without his permission.
The ‘tiger’ has nothing to do with Jose. This is the story of a young planter. Shaji Kailas says people are creating controversy without knowing it. Only he and Prithviraj have read the entire script of the tiger. The screenplay was written by Jinu for another director. Shaji Kailas told the Times of India that he came to her when it did not happen.
I know Jose. Ranji Panicker and himself had decided to make a film about him. But the script of the tiger is completely different. Shaji Kailas said that Jose has the right to take any action but the two are different films.
It was in a discussion with Ranji Panicker that Jose decided to make his life a movie. The movie which was supposed to have Mohanlal in the lead role did not happen for some reason. Ranji Panicker had earlier said that the character of Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan was made for Mohanlal 20 years ago.
Suresh Gopi’s 250th movie is being prepared as Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan. Kuruvachan says that Mohanlal should do the film. The film is about Kuruvachan’s legal battle as a senior police officer. The tiger’s linemen did not approach him. Kuruvachan had said that the films would not be allowed to be released without his permission.
