The letter further states that the best three schools with 100% results and highest A1 will be honored by the administration.

Advisory is being criticized

This advisory given to schools was criticized by educationists and school teachers, who said that the race for more marks and higher pass marks would burden students. He will get stressed. This year, more than 96 percent of the 5.21 lakh students have passed the matriculation exam.Which is a fantastic performance.

Kendrapara district education officer Radhakant Dash asked, many schools in districts like Kalahandi and Koraput are facing shortage of teachers. How will the children of those districts achieve 100% marks.Along with this he said, “Children can go under stress due to high marks. Class 10th marks have no impact on the future success of a student.”

According to the data of School and Mass Education Department, 891 headmaster posts and more than 34,000 TGT teachers posts are vacant in 3207 aided high schools across Odisha.

Bansidhar Bhuyan, president of the Odisha Secondary School Teachers Association, said, “Instead of issuing advisories to schools on how students should study, the department should first address the chronic problem of teacher shortage.”

“In many district schools, a teacher has to work as a mathematics and science teacher because new teachers are not appointed in the schools for years. This will cause a lot of problems at the education level. The department has to help the students in matriculation examination. Instead of motivating people to get more marks, the level of education should be improved.
