India Clinches Silver Medal In Tennis Doubles At Asian Games

India’s triumph at the Asian Games continues as the men’s tennis doubles team secures a silver medal. The dynamic duo of Ramkumar Ramanathan and Saket Maineni showcased their talent, bringing home the silver for India. In a highly contested gold medal match, the Indian team faced formidable opponents Hsu Yuxiu and Jason Jung of Chinese Taipei, ultimately losing in straight sets with scores of 6-4, 6-4.

With this achievement, India’s medal count at the Asian Games reaches an impressive 31, comprising eight gold, 11 silver, and 12 bronze medals. India currently holds the fourth position in the points table. Day 6 of the Asian Games witnessed India adding five medals to its tally.This marks a significant milestone for Ramkumar Ramanathan, securing his first-ever Asian Games medal. On the other hand, Saket Maineni’s remarkable performance earned him his third Asian Games medal, having previously won a silver with Sanam Singh and a gold with Sania Mirza. Notably, this victory represents India’s inaugural medal in tennis at the Asian Games this year.
