In the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the opposition INDIA alliance will get 350 seats and a new government will be formed. Tripura Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha has made this claim. This is the first time that any opposition leader including Congress has made such a big claim. Saha said that this time BJP’s slogan of crossing 400 is hollow. Actually INDIA Alliance will get 350 seats and we will form a new government. He said that Narendra Modi will not return as PM for the third time. INDIA Alliance is getting support all over the country.
Let us tell you that both CPM and Congress have fielded their candidates in Tripura. Both the parties are with INDIA Alliance at the national level. Tripura has two seats – East Tripura and West Tripura. Ashish Saha himself is in the fray for the West Tripura Lok Sabha seat and his contest is against former CM of the state Biplab Kumar Deb. Whereas in East Tripura, it is between BJP candidate Kriti Devi Debbarma and CPIM MLA Rajendra Reang. Let us tell you that Congress and CPM had contested together in the state assembly elections held last year.
