Star of Kollywood Dhanush is currently busy shooting for his forthcoming film Sir/Vaathi. Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead in the drama film, which is directed by Venky Atluri. The film’s makers have unveiled a brand-new poster in honor of Diwali. But it’s noticeable that the creators did not mention the scheduled release date. Therefore, it seems certain that the movie has been rescheduled, and the new date will be revealed shortly.
The film has a star cast of many well-known actors. Sir or Vaathi is a Telugu-Tamil blockbuster, which also has Sai Kumar as a villain. The Movie also features Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Thotapalli Madhu, Narra Srinivas, Pammi Sai, Hyper Aadhi, Shara, Aadukalam Naren, Ilavarasu, Motta Rajendran, Hareesh Peradi and Praveena among others. The soundtrack for the film was composed by GV Prakash Kumar and was produced by Sithara Entertainment, Fortune Four Cinemas, and Srikara Studios.
The teaser of the film was released on July 28 earlier this year on Dhanush’s 39th birthday. In the teaser, Dhanush was seen saying a dialogue, which many believe to be the tagline of Vaathi. He says, “Education is equal to the offering we place before God in a temple. Distribute it. Don’t sell it like a dish from a five-star hotel.”
Dhanush was last seen in the family-comedy film Thiruchitrambalam. Dhanush plays the titular role with Nithya Menen, Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, Raashii Khanna, and Priya Bhavani Shankar in prominent roles. Thiruchitrambalam turned out to be a box office blockbuster earning more than Rs 100 crore worldwide. The actor’s last release was horror-thriller Naane Varuvean, which was released last month.
