Dhanush’s much-awaited, Naane Varuven is getting ready to release on the OTT platform. The film was released in theaters on 29 September 2022. The film has received mixed reviews from critics and positive reviews from the audience. The film performed well at the box office.
Naane Varuven stars Dhanush while Indhuja Ravichandran and Elli AvrRam played female lead roles. The film had locked horns with Ponniyin Selvan: I at the box office. Yet, the film managed to collect over ₹ 70 crores after 25 days of its release. Nearly a month after the theatrical release, the movie will be released on the OTT platform.
As per recent reports, Naane Varuven will be available on Amazon Prime Video from October 27. Taking to Twitter on Saturday, Amazon Prime wrote, “A war between the light and the shadow. Naane Varuven on Prime, Oct 27.” Dhanush is playing a double role for the third time. Dhanush will collaborate with his brother Selvaraghavan after a long gap. Dhanush and Selvaraghavan have previously worked on Tamil titles such as “Thulluvadho Ilamai”, “Kadhal Kondein”, “7G Rainbow Colony”, “Pudhupettai” and “Mayakkam Enna”.

Music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja collaborated with actor Dhanush for the seventh time. The composition for Naane Varuven is done by Yuvan. Om Prakash handled the cinematography, while Bhuvan Srinivasan was in charge of the editing. Dhanush himself has written the story of the movie. The movie got a good reception even though there were no large-scale promotions.
Dhanush plays dual roles as Prabhu and Kathir, Elli AvrRam, Indhuja, Prabhu, Yogi Babu, and Shelly Kishore play crucial roles. Dhanush’s brother Selvaraghavan makes a special cameo appearance. Selvaraghavan has also directed the film.
