These hilly areas experienced substantial rainfall yesterday as well. A yellow alert has been issued for today in three districts—Ernakulam, Idukki, and Malappuram. Isolated heavy rain is anticipated, falling within the range of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm over a span of 24 hours. Notably, seven districts were under a yellow alert on Tuesday: Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Center has advised caution regarding high waves measuring between 0.8 to 1.8 meters along the Kerala coast until 11.30 tonight.
