While promoting her new movie “Thankam,” national award-winning actress Aparna Balamurali encountered unacceptable behavior from a fan. Along with co-star Vineeth Sreenivasan and singer Bijibal, the actress was present at a promotional event at a legal school in Kerala. In the viral footage, a male student is seen approaching the platform to welcome the actress, shaking her hand, and forcing her to rise up so he could try to wrap his arm around her.

The student’s irresponsible behavior was immediately rejected by Aparna Balamurali, who then moved aside and voiced her disgust. Vineeth Sreenivasan, her co-star, too voiced his unhappiness.

The student who acted inappropriately reportedly afterward apologized to the actress. Videos of the incident have gone viral on social media, and netizens have praised Aparna Balamurali’s response. Later, the student stood up on stage to apologize and justify his actions, but none of the college officials there denounced him for what he had done. On social media, the video has gone viral, garnering praise for the actress and criticism of the college from viewers.

Many online users have criticized the student’s behavior and said that it is unacceptable to enter someone else’s personal space. “What an uncultured student. Saying sorry here is not a solution, need to be disciplined in life,” a netizen wrote.

Saheed Arafath will be directing the upcoming movie “Thankam” in the meantime. The movie, whose script was written by Syam Pushkaran, stars Biju Menon, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Aparna Balamurali, Girish Kulkarni, and Vineeth Thattil. On January 26, the movie will be seen on a large screen.
