Big B’s 80th birthday is being celebrated in style, and from October 8 to November 11 a retrospective and exhibition titled “Bachchan: Back to the Beginning” is being staged in 18 cities. In his long career in the cinema industry, Amitabh Bachchan has won numerous awards. He received the Padma Shri award from the Indian government in 1984, the Padma Bhushan in 2001, and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015. He received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2018. He has received a number of prizes at international film festivals as well as five National Film Awards and 15 Filmfare Awards.
