AK62 will be directed by Magizh Thirumeni and not Vignesh

Ajith Kumar has stated that he will collaborate with director Vignesh Shivan on his next film, tentatively titled AK62. However, it has since been claimed that Ajith and Vignesh’s project has been postponed and that AK62 has a new director on board. According to rumors, the front-runner is now director Magizh Thirumeni.

According to reports, Ajith Kumar’s upcoming AK62 could be directed by Magizh Thirumeni. Magizh is claimed to have impressed Ajith with his narration and has taken over as director from Vignesh Shivan. According to reports, an official announcement about Ajith Kumar and Magizh Thirumeni’s new collaboration would be made very soon.
Magizh Thirumeni directed five films after working as an assistant to directors Selvaraghavan and Gautham Vasudev Menon, including the action thrillers Thadaiyara Thaakka (2012), Meaghamann (2014), Thadam (2019), and Kalaga Thalaivan.

While the cause behind AK62’s abrupt change is unknown, it is also said that Vignesh Shivan’s film has just been postponed and not shelved. Ajith could start working on Vignesh Shivan’s film after AK62. According to a separate report, Ajith wants to secure a good script for his next to compete with the excitement of Thalapathy Vijay’s Thalapathy67 starring Lokesh Kangaraj.

Ajith Kumar is currently planning his 63rd film in Tamil cinema alongside hitmaker Atlee Kumar. The highly anticipated movie, provisionally named AK63, will mark the stylish star’s first onscreen collaboration with the acclaimed young filmmaker. According to speculations, the much-anticipated project will be funded by the prominent production house of the Tamil film industry, Lyca Productions. Unconfirmed sources also claim that acclaimed artist AR Rahman has joined the crew as the project’s music composer. So yet, however, none of these stories have been formally validated.
