‘Major’ is an impending anecdotal film dependent on the existence of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, a brave officer who lost his life while saving numerous hostages from the terrorists on 26th November 2008 in Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, India. The film is an endeavor of Sony Pictures India, G.Mahesh Babu Entertainment, and A+S films. It has been shot simultaneously at the same time in Telugu and Hindi and dubbed into Malayalam.
The film additionally denotes the Hindi film debut of Telugu entertainer Adivi Sesh while Sobhita Dhulipala and Saiee Manjrekar are playing the female leads with Prakash Raj, Revathi Nair, and Murali Sharma assuming other significant parts in the film.
