Aditi Shankar, director Shankar’s daughter who is making her debut in the Tamil film industry through the movie ‘Viruman’ will soon star opposite Silambarasan for his upcoming movie ‘Corona Kumar’.
‘Corona Kumar’, which is to be directed by Gokul, will be produced by Vels Film International. The movie features Simbu and Aditi in the lead roles. Reportedly, Simbu will start shooting for ‘Corona Kumar’ once he finishes shooting ‘Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu’ with director Gautham Vasudev Menon.

The official announcement regarding ‘Corona Kumar’ is likely to be out in a few days. Aditi who made her debut through ‘Viruman’, will be starring as the female lead against Karthi. Produced by Suriya and Jyotika under their home banner 2D Entertainment, ‘Viruman’ has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. This rural drama will be set in and around south Tamil Nadu, especially Theni, and talk about the importance of family and relationships. Raj Kiran, who was also part of Komban, will be seen in a crucial role. Prakash raj and Soori are also part of the cast.
The pictures from the shooting spot and studio were also released by the movie crew of ‘Viruman’ and it has been doing rounds on social media. A photo of Karthi dubbing for the movie was also released and it went viral. It was earlier announced that the movie will hit the screens in the summer holidays in 2022.
