Vinayakan To Face Case For Insulting Former CM Oommen Chandy

A case will be filed against actor Vinayak for posting a video on social media insulting the late former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. After recording the statement of the complainant, Ernakulam North Police was tasked to register the case. Vinayakan came out with the abusive video during Oommen Chandy’s mourning journey. The Youth Congress had filed a complaint demanding action against Vinayakan. Youth Congress leaders had complained to DGP and Kochi City Police Commissioner. The complaint says that a video was circulated on social media insulting Oommen Chandy. Youth Congress activist Soni Pananthanam filed a complaint with Kochi ACP.

Ernakulam DCC General Secretary Ajith Ameer Bawa has also lodged a complaint with the police. Satish, the district general secretary of the Youth Congress, lodged a complaint with the DGP. Ajith Amir Bawa has alleged that Vinayak is the head of the drug mafia in the film sector in a complaint filed with the Kochi Assistant Commissioner of Police. The complaint also says that Vinayakan’s drug mafia connections should be investigated.
