Vikram will debut in Sandalwood with Pawan Kumar’s next

Chiyaan Vikram is ecstatic about his forthcoming film “Cobra,’ which is slated to enter theatres in four days. He is currently on a promotional tour before the film’s release. The actor met with fans in Chennai, Trichy, Madurai, Coimbatore, Kerela, and Bangalore, and will wrap up the tour in Hyderabad tomorrow. The film features actors Vikram and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead. Former cricketer Irfan Pathan plays an investigator looking to arrest Cobra. The film is a gripping action thriller that has triggered huge expectations. It will release on August 31 worldwide.

The actor is now in talks with Kannada director Pawan Kumar over a Tamil-Kannada multilingual production. The director is well-known for critically acclaimed films such as ‘Lucia’ and ‘U-Turn.’ If all goes well and all the dotted lines are inked, this will be Chiyaan Vikram’s debut in Sandalwood. An official confirmation is still pending.

Meanwhile, Chiyaan Vikram has Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ scheduled for release for next month (September 30), which is one of the actor’s biggest flicks. Recently, filmmaker Gautham Menon stated that their long-awaited film ‘Dhruva Natchathiram,’ which would be his fourth release this year, will be released in December.

On the work front, Vikram will begin filming for Pa Ranjith’s ‘Chiyaan 61.’ It is reported to be a film based on the ‘KGF gold mines and will be developed on a huge scale, produced by Studio Green. Soon, the actor will collaborate with ‘Cobra director Ajay Gnanamuthu on another film. After these projects, he will work on a Pawan Kumar film.
