Karan-Johar-And-Vijay

Vijay Deverakonda is doing everything in his hands to ensure the success of his upcoming sports drama, Liger. The Arjun Reddy actor was present at a press conference in Hyderabad yesterday as part of the campaign. He discussed how he got his first Bollywood film throughout the conversation. He reportedly said, “After watching Arjun Reddy, Karan Johar offered me to do a Bollywood film, then I was not ready, and now, we approached with Liger as it has the pan-India appeal. He supported us well in every aspect.”

Talking at a promotional event in Mumbai, he opened up about his character in the movie, “My character in the film has a stammering problem and that made it more interesting,” Vijay said. “On one hand, he is the guy who is physically so strong and intimidating to others, he is a fighter, but he can’t even utter the simple three words ‘I love you’ to the girl he loves.”

Liger has already generated a lot of interest around the nation as its August 25 release date draws near. In addition to Ronit Roy playing his instructor and Ramya Krishna playing his mother in this action comedy, which also has a legendary boxer, Mike Tyson, in a lengthy cameo, VD plays an MMA fighter with a speech impediment. Ananya Panday plays his love interest. The project, which was directed by Puri Jagannadh and funded by Dharma Productions, was simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
