It is known that Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannadh began work on their second pan-India picture even before their first film, ‘Liger,’ was released in theatres, and popular opinion of their work is heard.
Because of the team’s intensive marketing, ‘Liger’ was released on August 25th with high expectations. This brave cross-breed picture was a colossal failure. Not only has the filmmaker Puri Jagannadh become a target of online bullies and meme-makers on social media, but so has Vijay Deverakonda. Some of Vijay Deverakonda’s ardent admirers have asked him not to do ‘Jana Gana Mana’ with the director again. However, the film’s production has already begun on a large scale, and filming is said to be ongoing.
Thank God #Yash never accepted the Puri Jagannadh offer.#JanaGanaMana#Liger

He should leave jana gana mana, movie directed by @purijagan it will be one more flop. If he is smart @TheDeverakonda must choose Good directors and new talent. His best picture was arjun reddy.

The production has also financed actress Pooja Hegde to play the female protagonist, and a notable cast and crew have been assembled for this Pan-India patriotic drama. The film is believed to be produced by the same ‘Puri Connects banner that includes Charmme Kaur and Puri Jagannadh, as well as Vamshi Paidipally of ‘Srikara Studios.’ The trio will be traveling to Morocco to shoot their next collaboration – JGM: Jana Gana Mana. Puri Jagannath wanted to make the film with Mahesh Babu.
The release date for ‘JGM’ has also been set as August 3, 2023, in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. On the work front, Vijay is currently busy with director Shiva Nirvana’s Kushi, and also Puri Jagannath’s Jana Gana Mana. The shooting of both movies started way before the release of Liger.
