Vijay Antony, a well-known Tamil actor, and music director was reportedly involved in an accident on the set of his upcoming film Pichaikkaran 2. According to reports, he was involved in an accident while performing action sequences on the sets in Malaysia and was rushed to the hospital.
Vijay Antony has been filming in Langkawi, Malaysia for Pichaikkaran 2, the sequel to the same name. The actor was filming an action scene when his boat was rammed. He was taken to a nearby hospital and is being monitored.
Producer Dhananjayan took to Twitter to share an update on his health, saying there’s nothing to worry about. He wrote, “Happy to share that @vijayantony is fast recovering from the accident injury. He is under observation at the hospital at #Langkawi & his family has reached and is with him. They will take a call to bring him to Chennai soon. Let’s pray for his speedy recovery & back in action.”
Director CS Amudhan wrote on Twitter, “Guys I’ve spoken to his nearest circle & @vijayantony is well, he will be back soon with shooting & his many cryptic tweets! Come back strong nanba..this year is ours!”
Vijay Antony is the first Indian Music Director to win the Cannes Golden Lion in the Best Music category in 2009 for the song Naaka Mukka advertising film. The song launched his career and was played during the 2011 Cricket World Cup.
