Maruti Suzuki is back with a new version of the Swift which is in huge demand and price even in the second hand market . The Maruti Swift is all set to enter the fifth generation with radical design changes, feature upgrades and a powerful hybrid powertrain. The main attraction of the new Swift is its ARAI certified mileage of 35 to 40 kmpl. Reports suggest that if this becomes a reality, the Swift will become the most fuel efficient car in India.Suzuki has now officially released the concept of the new Swift, putting an end to the curiosity of the fans. Suzuki has teased the next generation Swift ahead of the 2023 Tokyo Motor Show, which will be held between October 26 and November 5. Suzuki has released images of a blue and black dual-tone exterior with updated design cues. Although it features a similar design language to the current generation Swift, it has some major styling updates. It’s kicked off by the crease placed above the door handles that runs the length of the car’s profile and blends into the bonnet. Apart from this, the front gets an updated grille design and chrome touches on the front bumper.
The current-gen Swift in the Indian market features a single 1.2-litre, four-cylinder engine that produces 90 hp and 113 Nm of torque, offered with a five-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT. The India-spec Swift is offered with petrol or CNG options. Meanwhile, Suzuki has not revealed anything about the new Swift’s engine or the transmission options offered with the new Swift. The company says the car will have a high-performance engine that balances driving performance and fuel efficiency.
