Unni Mukundan’s ‘Malikappuram’ will be available for Kollywood fans from this date

The Malayalam film ‘Malikappuram,’ starring Unni Mukundan, was released on December 30 and has received a positive response in Kerala. Because of the overwhelmingly positive response to the film, the producers have decided to dub it in Tamil and release it in Tamil Nadu. This Friday, the film will be released in Tamil Nadu (Jan 6).

The trailer of the Tamil version was released on 02 Jan, by Jayaram on his social media handle. “Lord Ayyappa surrendered to you, show mercy… Malikappurattamma is the devil.. Surrendered to you Ayyappa🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 This dedication is my virtue,” Jayaram captioned the post, launching the Tamil trailer.

‘Malikappuram,’ directed by debutant Vishnu Sasi Shankar, tells the story of an 8-year-old girl named Kalyani who wishes to visit Sabarimala. Kalyani travels to Sabarimala with her classmate Unni to offer her prayers to Lord Ayyappa. The film, directed by Abhilash Pillai, stars Devinandha and Sripadh as children. Unni Mukundan has a significant role in the film. Surprisingly, the stylish star is back in action after nearly five years.

The producers have also confirmed that ‘Malikappuram’ will be released with English subtitles outside of Kerala on January 6th, and outside of India on January 5th. “#Malikappuram running successfully in theatres near you! Releasing outside Kerala (with Eng subtitles) on Jan 6th 2023! Releasing outside India on Jan 5th 2023!” Unni Mukundan recently shared. According to reports, the makers intend to release the Telugu version of the film soon due to popular demand.
