The second part of Ponniyin Selvan is getting ready for release. Trisha and Jayam Ravi lost the blue tick on their Twitter accounts when they changed their names on their Twitter handle for the promotion of the film. Both of them used the names of their characters in Ponniyin Selvan as Kundavai and Arunmozhi Varman for promotion. With this, Twitter has removed the blue tick that indicates verified accounts. Although she changed her name to Trisha Kundavai and returned to her own name, the departed Blue Tick is yet to return. Jayam Ravi’s account name is still Arunmozhi Varman.
Directed by Mani Ratnam, Ponniyin Selvan 2 will hit the theaters on April 28. The second part will be released in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and Telugu languages. The film tells the story of the era of the Chola kings and is based on the famous novel by legendary writer Kalki Krishnamurthy. The film is jointly produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. Vikram, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Lal, Rahman, Riyaz Khan, Khishor, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, etc. are in the film.
