Tollywood film editor Gautam Raju passes away at 68

Well-known Tollywood editor Gautam Raju, who dealt with many Telugu films, died on Tuesday, at 68 years old. As per reports, he was getting medical treatment for Kidney related issues at a private medical clinic in Hyderabad for many days. But, his well-being deteriorated at midnight, and he died.

Sai Dharam Tej additionally offered his appreciation as he tweeted, “Heartbroken at the loss of Editor #GauthamRaju Garu,a man of great work & character,with whom I have worked closely during my initial phase of career.You’ll always be alive in your work sir. Sending my strength to family and dear ones.#RIPGauthamRaju Garu.”

The death of Gautam Raju has left the Telugu film business disheartened. A few celebs and fans are paying their recognition and giving genuine sympathies. RRR musiccomposer MM Keeravani tweeted, “Saddened by the premature exit of Gouthamraju garu . Happened to work with him for Dhammu. Huge respect for his humility and talent.”

Gautam Raju began his career nearly 40 years back and worked for around 800 movies. He worked for films beginning Nalugu Stambalata in 1982 and worked in different dialects including Rajinikanth’s Thalapathi, Assembly Rowdy, and a lot more super hit films. He has functioned as an editor for top legend films like Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150, Pawan Kalyan Gabbarsingh, Ravi Teja’s Kick, Allu Arjun’s Race Gurram, and NTR’s Adurs.

Mohan Babu’s Son Of India was the last film edited by Gautam Raju. Directed by Diamond Ratnababu, the film got poor reviews from crowds. He also worked recently on film titled Raamudu Anukoledhi Jaanaki Kalaganaledu.
