The Rajasthan government has decided to expand the scope of Indira Priyadarshini Puraskar Yojana. The Rajasthan Education Department has said that the girl students of class 10th and 12th from the stream of vocational education will also get the benefit of Indira Priyadarshini Puraskar Yojana. The department said in a tweet, ‘The benefit of Indira Priyadarshini Puraskar Yojana, run for the girl students passed from the Board of Secondary Education of 10th and 12th, will now be available to the girl students of vocational education as well.

Under this scheme, prize money is given to the girls who have secured the highest position in the district in 8 classes, including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Minorities Disabled, in the examinations of class 8th, 10th and 12th separately in all the three faculties. 40 thousand to the girl of class 8 is given to the girl of class 10, 75 thousand to the girl of class 10 and Rs 1 lakh to the girl of class 12. Now the benefit of this scheme will also be given to the girls of vocational education.
