The Gurkha Association has lodged a complaint with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. Anushka has filed a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission. Anushka has been accused of making sexually abusive remarks in the web series Patal World, released on Azamon Prime.
The Bharatiya Gorkha Yuva Parisan and the Youth Wing of the Bharatiya Gorkha Parishad conducted an online campaign against the film. They want the scene removed from the sex series against the Gurkhas and the subtitle should be removed.
They have accused the woman of the series who made it clear that she belongs to the Khasi section of Meghalaya. The complaint also states that the reference is to the racist abuse against the Gorkha community. Nanda Kirathi Devan, President of Bharatiya Gorkha Yuva Sangam, said:
