CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Theater Owners Association has decided to ban superstar Suriya’s theater after the lockdown. Surya’s wife and actress Jyothika has decided to release ‘Ponmakal Vandal’ on the Over the Top (OTT) platform.
Movies should be released in theaters first. Shaqqa strongly condemns Sun’s 2D entertainment decision to release the film on Amazon Prime, the association’s head of state Panneerselvam said in a video released.
He added that the producer has not yet responded to the demand for an online release and that the movie will not be shown in 2D and sun. Everyone is wondering if the decision will adversely affect the release of the much-awaited film ‘Soorai Potr’.
