Sushant Singh Rajput Suicide Case: Police demanded two films with Yash Raj Films’ banner!

The police are investigating the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case from several angles. Apart from personal reasons behind the suicide, Mumbai Police is also exploring the angle of professional rivalry. Under this, many production houses are on the radar of the police, from which the process of procuring papers has been started. On Friday, the Mumbai Police sent a letter from Yash Raj Films, the biggest production house in Bollywood, asking for contract papers related to Sushant’s films.

PTI’s report quoted a police officer as saying that Sushant’s friend Riya Chakraborty had told during the investigation on Thursday that Sushant’s contract with Yash Raj was over and that he had also seen Riya working with Yash Raj Films Was denied.

The police officer said that the case is being investigated from several angles, including professional rivalry. The Bandra police have so far recorded statements from more than 13 people, including Sushant’s family and close friends.

Due to the professional angle, the police have started calling some major production houses for questioning from Thursday. In the same order, the letter was sent to Yash Raj Films on Thursday. The production house has sought details of the contracts signed by the actor. In the coming days, people who played a role in signing contracts between Sushant and Production Houses can also be called for questioning. 

Sushant first collaborated with Yash Raj Films in Shuddh Desi Romance, which was released in 2013. On Thursday, Vikas Gupta wrote a post in which he indicated that Sushant had refused to do the Yash Raj banner film Aurangzeb.

After this, he along with Yash Raj had left Byomkesh. Sushant’s third film with the banner was to be Pani, directed by Shekhar Kapoor. Sushant had also prepared for this for two years, but this film could not be made. 

Let us tell you that Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam raised the issue of bias in the industry with Sushant, claiming that he was removed from seven films in the last six months. However, in contrast, Sushant’s friend Riya told police investigation that Sushant had several projects which were going to be finalists. After this, his date diary would be filled for the next year.
