Suriya is taking on one significant project after another following the back-to-back, huge triumphs of “Soorarai Pottru,” “Jai Bhim,” and the captivating cameo appearance in “Vikram.” He is now filming “Suriya 42,” a two-part historical fantasy adventure pan-Indian movie with Disha Patani as his partner. The movie is directed by Siruthai Siva.
It has been one year since the release of ‘Jai Bhim’. Suriya shared his happiness on Twitter writing “Happy to celebrate one year of #JaiBhim From script to execution this film kept getting stronger & stronger.. I thank my brother @tjgnan Gnanavel & Team for giving us this most meaningful film. Lawyer Chandru is a landmark role in my career!” Jai Bhim stars Suriya with Lijomol Jose and Manikandan in lead roles.
T.J. Gnanavel has disclosed that preproduction work for his upcoming film Suriya, which will again be produced by 2D Entertainment, has already started. The rest of the cast and staff members’ information will be released soon, and production on the movie will begin in March 2023. Suriya’s commitment to “Suriya 42” will likely take several months, thus it appears that the diligent actor will work on the Gnanavel project while on vacation. The project will probably fall somewhere between “Suriya 42” and “Vetrimaaran’s Vaadivasal,” in all likelihood.
Suriya has projects with Sudha Kongara and Shankar as well, so he will be quite busy for the next three years, at the very least. What will happen to Bala’s “Vanangaan,” which was put on hold after 40 days of filming, is currently the main question.
