A petition seeking to block the release of the Kerala Story movie was mentioned in the Supreme Court today. The case was heard in the court of Justice KM Joseph, which hears cases against hate speech. But Justice KM Joseph held that this case cannot be heard along with hate speech. The Supreme Court suggested going to the High Court against the Censor Board’s permission if necessary.
But Kapil Sibal, who stepped forward saying that he will file a detailed petition before the Chief Justice tomorrow, also told Justice KM Joseph to watch the court trailer. Justice KM Joseph’s reply was that he saw the report on TV. Reminding that the film is releasing on Friday, Sibal clarified that he will look for possible ways to prevent this.
