The hotel tourism sector in the state to overcome the crisis created by COVID. Five-star hotels in Kerala are preparing packages for this, including the wedding season. Since the start of the season, various hotels have come up with a number of attractive offers.

COVID has dealt a major blow to the tourism hospitality industry. Every effort has been made by the region to recover from the impact of this. The ‘Grand Wedding’ package offered by Grand Hyatt Kochi is priced at Rs 1,99,999. It features everything from welcome drinks to themed wedding decor, a variety of dishes, a grand suite including breakfast for a couple for a night out, and rooms that can be used for up to six hours free on the wedding day.
The ‘Shaadi by Marriott’ wedding package at Kochi Marriott and Sheraton Kochi Infopark is priced at Rs 1,25,000. A total of 34 weddings have taken place at Kochi Marriott this wedding season. Bookings indicate that it will cross 50 by the end of the month.
Le Meridien rates for customized weddings start at Rs 49,999. Officials expect the new package to reach more than 20 in the month of Chingam alone, up from 10 to 12 weddings a month.
Contactless temperature checks at the entrance, automated hand sanitizer dispensers in public places and regular cleaning of high touch points are of paramount importance.
It also pays close attention to living stations, tables, and items that guests regularly use. Single-use items are encouraged as much as possible.
Luggage and cars are secured with UV disinfectants. Hotels are encouraging guests to download and use the Health Setu app. More and more big hotels are coming to this arena to overcome the crisis.
