Sonu Sood turns 49 today. Check out five of his best films.

Sonu Sood is renowned for his charitable work. He is celebrating his 49th birthday this year. He is a consummate actor who understands how to leave a lasting impression in each and every part that he plays on screen. A self-made actor spent almost twenty years in the business after starring in Shaheed-E-Azam, the first Hindi film, which was released in May 2002.

He has also contributed to films in Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil. Sonu has consistently displayed the utmost sincerity in his onscreen performances, whether he was exhibiting his acting talent in grand historical drama movies like Jodhaa Akbar or giving us various negative characters. In addition to this, he received a lot of attention for his charitable work during the pandemic.

On his birthday, let’s take a look at some of his best films.

  • Dabangg (2010)
With this one, let’s start the list. In the film, Sonu Sood portrayed the antagonist, Cheddi Singh, and it’s safe to say that he did a good job. Sonu not only wowed us with his sculpted physique throughout the movie, but he also excelled in the villain part.
  • “Jodha Akbar” (2008)
In this movie, Sonu Sood appears in a completely different avatar. The actor portrayed Sujamal, the brother of Aishwarya Rai (Jodha). He performed the part well and received praise from his admirers. The 16th-century love romance starring Aishwarya Rai as Jodha and Hrithik Roshan as the Mughal Emperor Akbar clearly demonstrated how much Sonu adores working in the historical theatre industry.
  • Vishnuvardhana (Kannada, 2011)
Sonu Sood tried everything possible to develop his acting skills. He has dazzled his fans with the Kannada movie Vishnuvardhana. Sonu played a goon in the Pon Kumaran film. The main focus of the story’s plot is what happens when the protagonist takes the villain’s phone.
  • Bbuddah… Hoga Terra Baap (2011)
In 2011, Sonu Sood contributed to the action-comedy Bbuddah… Hoga Terra Baap, written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. It was amazing to see him in the role of the cop in the movie.
  • Julayi (Telugu 2012)
Sonu Sood has also entertained people with few Telugu films. He played a negative role in ‘Guruji’ Trivikram Srinivas’s action-comedy Julayi. In the film, Sonu was seen as a thug who teams up with an unlikely ally for a bank robbery. The movie was remade in Tamil as Saagasam.
