Drishyam 2, starring Ajay Devgn, is now playing in theatres and receiving a resoundingly positive reception from viewers. Here is some great news for everyone, while fans are enjoying the crime thriller’s sequel. According to recent news, Drishyam 3 will also be produced.
You did read that correctly. According to the entertainment portal, Drishyam 3 will be produced and released on the same day in both Malayalam and Hindi. According to reports, the decision to release both versions on the same day was made to prevent the suspense from being revealed. “The idea of the third part was originally there as well, the stupendous collection has only strengthened it. Clearly, this franchise is here to stay,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed.
Drishyam, which starred Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, and Tabu in key roles, was an immensely popular film. The same-titled Malayalam film starring Mohanlal served as the basis for this one. Drishyam 2, directed by Abhishek Pathak, takes place seven years after Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) received a clear record in a case involving a missing young kid. The movie revisits the events of October 2, 2014, which were depicted in the first Drishyam movie, but from a different angle. This time, IG Tarun Ahlawat (played by Akshaye Khanna) interrogates Vijay in addition to Meera Deshmukh (Tabu).
Meanwhile, Drishyam 2 has so far collected Rs 64 crores at the box office. On Monday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh reported that same and claimed that the film might hit the Rs 100 crore club in less than a week.
