Prominent screenwriter and director Dennis Joseph (63) has passed away. Death following a heart attack. He fell ill at his home in Cheruvandoor, Ettumanoor. He was rushed to hospital but could not be saved. The creator of the biggest hits of all time in Malayalam cinema passed away unexpectedly. Manu Uncle, directed by Dennis Joseph for the first time, has won the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film in 1988. Aakash Doot, written by Dennis, also won the 1993 National Award for Socially Relevant Film. Dennis Joseph was born in Ettumanoor, Kottayam district on October 20, 1957, the son of MN Joseph and Eliamma Joseph. He also holds a Diploma in Pharmacy. He started his career as a journalist with the film magazine Cut Cut. Later a press conference was held for some time. She made her film debut in 1985 with a screenplay for Jesse’s Eran Sandhya. Subsequent films, such as Color, Syama, and The King’s Son, made Dennis the most valuable screenwriter of the time. Directed by Joshi and Thampi Kannanthanam, Dennis created a winning streak.
