The comedy film Gulu Gulu featuring Santhanam is scheduled to release in theatres on July 29. The film, directed by Rathna Kumar, has Athulya Chandran playing the lead. The most recent information we have on the movie is that Red Giant Movies, owned by Udhayanidhi Stalin, will distribute the film in Tamil Nadu. The production company posted the information on its social media accounts, “Delighted to announce that we have acquired the Tamil Nadu Theatrical Distribution rights of #GuluGulu.🎉🤣 The Ultimate laughter and chaos is coming. It had previously been revealed that Sun TV had acquired the satellite rights of the movie, while Sun NXT had purchased the digital rights. According to what we’ve heard, Santhanam plays a man in the movie who is like Google since he knows everything. He hears it as Gulu Gulu, though, because he doesn’t speak English well. Namitha Krishnamurthy, Pradeep Rawat, Mariyam George, Sai Dheena, Lollu Sabha Maaran, and Lollu Sabha Seshu are among the cast members of the comedy show. Santhosh Narayanan composed the soundtrack for the movie. Vijay Kartik Kannan shot it, while Philomin Raj edited it. Taking care of the art direction was Jacki. Raj Narayanan provides financial support for Gulu Gulu.
Gulu Gulu is Santhanam’s first theatrical release of the year, despite being Rathna Kumar’s third directorial effort following Meyaadha Maan and Aadai. He last appeared in the November 2021 film Sabhaapathy. Amazon Prime Video is now offering the movie for streaming. In addition, Santhanam is working on an untitled movie with Kannada director Prashant Raj and Manoj Beedha’s Agent Kannayiram.
