After getting an important role in Rajinikanth starrer Jailer, Kannada actor Shivarajkumar has reportedly signed a new Tamil film. He will be sharing screen space with the well-known actor Dhanush in the forthcoming period action drama, Captain Miller. The film will be directed by Rocky fame director Arun Matheswaran.
Shivarajkumar was quoted saying during an interview with a well-known news channel, “I am a huge fan of Dhanush. I have seen all his films. In fact, I see myself in Dhanush! The naughtiness, the way he behaves with his friends, he is just like me or I am just like him! We are that similar! I have a special liking for Dhanush. I could not pass on the opportunity to share screen space with him. Director Arun came down to Bengaluru and narrated the entire story to me in 40 minutes. The emotional narration itself was so engaging that he visually showed the film to me. It is too early to speak about the role, but all I can say is, if we go ahead, the audience will be able to connect to the bond that I share with Dhanush.”
Earlier, Dhanush sang a song for Shivarajkumar’s action movie Vajrakaya back in 2015. Captain Miller will include an element of dark humor. Captain Miller is set against the backdrop of 1930s India. Produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan in collaboration with Arjun Thyagarajan, the film has been co-produced by G. Saravanan and Sai Siddharth. GV Prakash is on board the team as the music director. Shreyaas Krishna is the cinematographer and Nagooran is the editor for the film.
