Samvritha Sunil has at long last shared the formula for the cake. Preceding that, the entertainer opened up with regards to how she got the hang of cooking after moving to the US. Seems like the entire credit goes to her friend from school!

Before that, I would like to say a few words of gratitude to one of my friends since college who gifted me a very thoughtful gift before I moved to the US. She gave me a handwritten book of recipes including minute details related to cooking. She even attached small samples of grains and lentils in it, so that it would be helpful for a couple like us – who had no prior cooking experience in their new life together away from home. This book came to our rescue right from our first grocery shopping post-wedding. It helped us in picking the right kind of rice because up until then we never paid attention to the different names, shapes, and sizes of rice. 9 years later, when I cook and bake almost everything without much difficulty – I owe it to a few people in my life.
