The censor board has given Samantha’s Yashoda a U/A rating, it was revealed on Thursday. The movie’s running duration has been finalized. According to reports, the film, which Hari and Harry co-directed, lasts 135 minutes. However, the creators have not yet made an official announcement.
Samantha plays a surrogate mother who learns there might be something sinister going on in the surrogacy care facility she is admitted to in the thriller movie. In supporting roles, the movie also has a number of well-known performers, including Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, and Madhurima.
The movie, which Sivalenka Krishna Prasad produced through Sridevi Movies, has Mani Sharma on the soundtrack, M Sukumar on photography, and Marthand K Venkatesh on editing. The producers of Yashoda recently released a BTS video, where Samantha is seen doing difficult action stunts with stunt director Yannick Ben. In the video, Yannick said, “I like working with Samantha because she is really dedicated all the time. She is really willing to give her best to do something good and as an action director, that’s what we want. We want an actor who’s fully dedicated and is giving full of herself or himself to get the best out of the action.”
Yashoda is Samantha’s second movie of the year after the Tamil film Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal directed by Vignesh Shivan. Yashoda is scheduled for release in theatres on November 11 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Besides this film, Samantha has Shaakuntalam, Kushi, and Citadel India in her kitty.
